The Buddha praised this method in the discourse: \u201cFellow monks, if you practice this \u0101n\u0101p\u0101nasati more and more, it will calm down your mind, give your superior result, purify your mind and you will stay in a mental state with joy. As a result, it can remove unwholesome thoughts and calms down our mind.\u201d In brief, this technique of meditation can be applied to concentration meditation or Insight meditation. It verily is also a method which can be easily acquired.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>INSTRUCTOR:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ven. Dhammadipa Fa Yao is the Abbot of the Chuang Yen Monastery. He was a professor at Buddhist colleges in Taiwan specializing in Agama and Abhidharma. He was also a visiting professor at Sun Yet-Sen University in Guangzhou, China. He obtained his bachelor and master degrees in Sri Lanka whereas doctoral degree in Theology and Religion from the Great Britain.
