CYM Abbot Ven. Dhammadipa (Fa Yao), 2008 –

Abbot Venerable Dhammapida (Fa Yao) was born in Taiwan and grew up in Malaysia. In 1987, he received his full-ordination as a Bhikkhu monk in Sri Lanka under Ven. Prof. Dhammajoti. He received his degree in Buddhist Studies, Buddhist and Pali University and his master degree in Buddhist Philosophy at Kelaniya University in Sri Lanka respectively.

In 2005, he successfully hold a Ph.D.degree at the department of Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Bristol, U.K. His special preferences are in Abhidhamma and meditation practices, and often stress the importance of the meditation in society. He speaks Chinese, Cantonese, Hakka, English, etc., and reads many languages for his persuasion of academic like Sanskrit, Pali, Japanese, French, German, etc.

TOE Prior Ven. Hu Bao (護寶法師), 2013 –

Ven. Hu-bao took his Samanera and Bhikkhu ordinations in Cambodia in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He has studied Chinese Buddhism at Yuan-quang Buddhist College for six years. His personal interests in Buddhism including Tiantai school & meditation.

護寶法師於2005年在柬埔寨出家當沙彌,於2010年受比丘戒。法師在台灣圓光佛學院共有六年的學習,接觸了良好及有系統的漢系等等佛教的教育。法師對天臺和禪修特感興趣。

CYM Prior Ven. Yin Xu (印旭法師), 2013 –

Ven. Yinxu entered the Buddhist Monastic Order at White Horse Temple, Luoyang, Henan, China in 1994. He got his full ordination at Wuzu (Fifth Patriach) Temple, Huangmei, Hubei, China in 1995. Ven. Yinxu had studied meditation at Nanputuo Temple at Xiamen, Fujian, China before attended Jiechuang Buddhist Educational Institution. Since then, he had been the Prior of Dinghui Temple, Suzhou. He was in charge of constructing Sanfeng Temple at Sanshandao, Suzhou in 2004.

印旭法師1994年於河南洛陽白馬寺出家,1995年於湖北黃梅五祖寺受三壇大戒。曾與福建廈門南普陀寺禪堂參學,以及蘇州戒幢佛學研究所靜修。之後曾任蘇州定慧寺監院。2004年起負責位於蘇州三山島上的三峰禪寺的建設工作。

5:00 pm Evening Bell and Drum Service. Monastery Closed

Dear Friends:

May this announcement bring your whole family much peace and harmony. Chuang Yen Monastery is going to hold its 2013 Chinese New Year Ceremony on February 10rd, 2013, the New Year’s Day in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. You are cordially invited to participate in this auspicious event. Ceremony will begin with a blessing delivered by the abbot; follow with the chanting service lead by all the monastic. After the afternoon service, the monastic will tie Auspicious Thread for all participants. You may also use this opportunity to offer lights to the Buddha or offer meals.

May the service bring World Peace, Country Prosperity, & Family Harmony
