- Five Eyes [ English ][ Chinese, Big-5 ]
Five eyes -
physical eye, heavenly eye, wisdom eye, dharma eye, and
buddha eye, can be found in one of the most popular
sutras in China - Diamond Sutra. They symbolize different
levels of insight to the world and life. In his speech on
May 25, 1969 at the Temple of Enlightenment, New York, Dr.
Shen explained in a very comprehensive way this crucial
Buddhism concept with modern science. Check this out and

Kuan-Yin [ English ][ Chinese, Big-5 ]
Enlightenment?
Ever wonder what it is like? How to get there from here?
In Shurangama Sutra, one of the most respected and
followed sutras by practitioners in Mahayana Buddhism,
Bodhisattva Kuan-Yin reported to Buddha Shakyamuni how he
practiced and what he has experienced. Bodhisattva
Manjushri pointed out in this sutra that Kuan-Yin's way of
cultivating realization through hearing was best suited
for the people of this world. With the explanation of
I, the nature to hear, audial consciousness, hearing,
and sound (corresponding to five degrees of deluded
attachment), Dr. Shen led his audience through the
spiritual journey of Kuan-Yin in his speech to the
University of Hawaii on February 26, 1982. If you are a
serious practitioner, you don't want to miss this article.
