Great Buddha Hall |
Dining Hall
The Dining Hall is next to the Kuan-Yin Hall and is also called the "Five Contemplation Hall". The five contemplations remind us to be mindful during eating to avoid liking or disliking of certain dishes, and also to be mindful in developing gratitude when eating. The building was designed for multi-purpose use and special consideration was given to the lighting and to making the building open and spacious. The building is used as a dining hall, lecture hall and meeting hall. The building is connected to the Kuan-Yin Hall, and attached to it, are the living quarters for the nuns. Last updated: 12/26/98 |
